COL Griswold has been a member of Armed Forces Insurance since 1974. Initially, he sat on Armed Forces Insurance Subscribers' Advisory Committee from 2000-2006. He served as Subscribers' Advisory Committee chairman from 2005 to 2006, and again from 2010 to 2012.

COL Griswold's numerous key command and staff assignments during his career with the U.S. Army included director of operations and training, logistics plans officer, executive officer/deputy commander, battalion commander, division comptroller, chief of G-3 Plans and Policy for U.S. Third Army/ARCENT, director of academic operations and special assistant to the commandant for leader development, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC).

Currently, COL Griswold serves as an Operations Manager for Parsons Corporation at Fort Leavenworth, KS. In his role he supports the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP).

COL Griswold holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Science (MS) degree in management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Military Art and Science (MMAS) degree from the Army CGSC. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Rockhurst University Executive Fellowship Program. He Is an Army War College Fellow, and member of the AUSA, U.S. Army Armor Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Post 56, Leavenworth, KS.
