Kurt Seelbach is the president and chief executive officer of Armed Forces Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Insurance Exchange.

Mr. Seelbach began his leadership career in accounting as the supervising senior accountant for KPMG in Chicago, IL., and later became director of financial reporting for Horace Mann Insurance Companies. He later served as chief financial officer and executive vice president of sales and marketing for Florist's Mutual Insurance Company, a national property and casualty insurance company serving a broad customer base of businesses in the horticultural industry.

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Seelbach joined AFI as senior vice president and chief operating officer in 2008 and was promoted to president and chief executive officer in 2010.

Mr. Seelbach received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Illinois State University and also is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) and the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) professional insurance designations.
