Ms. Pittard has been a member of Armed Forces Insurance since 1987.
She is married to Major General, Dana J. H. Pittard, USA, Ret. Ms. Pittard is a teacher with over 25 years of experience in the education field. She has taught in both elementary and intermediate schools. During her time as an educator, Ms. Pittard held various volunteer positions within the school, to include co-chairmanship of the School Improvement Process which led to NCA accreditation at two schools. In the spring of 2013, Ms. Pittard retired from teaching. Currently, Ms. Pittard is a volunteer with Indiana Landmarks, America's largest private statewide historic preservation organization.
In addition to her professional teaching career, Ms. Pittard is the recipient of a number of service awards that recognize her 30-year dedication to volunteering for military service organizations. Ms. Pittard was awarded the Joan of Arc-Heroine of ARMOR award, the Dr. Mary Walker Service Award, the Commander's Award for Public Service, the Secretary of the Army Public Service Award, the Patriotic Civilian Service Award, the Outstanding Civilian Award and more. She has served as a member and/or advisor for Family Readiness Groups, Senior Spouse groups, and Spouses' Clubs for 30 years.
Ms. Pittard has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University.
