Agent Spotlight - Glenna Peterson
Meet Glenna Peterson. Glenna is an Agent in Member Sales & Service. She has been with Armed Forces Insurance a little over 6 years and has completed her AINS (Associate in General Insurance) and API (Associate in Personal Insurance) designations. Glenna enjoys assisting AFI members with their insurance needs and making sure they have the right coverage for their personal situations. Prior to working at Armed Forces Insurance, Glenna worked for Farm Bureau for 13 years.
She was born in Alabama, but was an Army brat, so her family lived all over the United States and abroad including Germany. She went to three different schools her junior year of high school before her dad got stationed at Fort Leavenworth in 1981. Her dad spent 32 years in the Army and retired as a Command Sergeant Major. The following year, she graduated from Leavenworth High School.
Glenna and her husband, who passed away in 2014, had three children together. Her daughter Chrissy married her husband Ben in 2012 and they currently reside in Minnesota. Besides her daughter, she has two sons, Greg and Matt. Greg married his wife Maggie in 2012 and they live in Lenexa, KS and her son Matt married his wife Kat in 2014 and currently reside in Martin City, MO.
When Glenna was younger, she wanted to be an FBI agent. Her first job was working for Brown & Wyrick Law Offices in Leavenworth. Her hobbies include west coast swing dancing, reading, hiking and decorating her house. She gets a lot of ideas on how to make improvements to her house by watching HGTV.
