Agent Spotlight - Meghan Moorhead
Meet Meghan Moorhead. Meghan is an Agent on our Member Sales and Service Team. She joined us a little more than a year ago and comes to us from USAA. Meghan takes great pleasure in assisting AFI members with their insurance needs.
Meghan grew up an Air Force brat. Her father was a career Air Force pilot, and her mother a claims adjuster for Allstate. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended 12 different schools by the time she graduated high school at Ramstein American High School in Germany. Meghan didn’t have a place to call “home” until her father retired from the Air Force, after 42 years of service. Once her dad retired, her parents and siblings settled in Colorado Springs, Co. where she attended college at the University of Colorado in Boulder and received a B.A. in History. Her first job out of college was working at the US Senate for Senator Wayne Allard from Colorado.
She grew up with a sister and three brothers. Her sister works for a defense contracting company in Colorado Springs, one brother is an attorney for Twitter and her twin brothers followed in their dad’s footsteps by becoming pilots in the Air Force Special Operations Command.
Meghan and her significant other, Jimmy, have been in the Kansas City area for a few years now. They welcomed their first baby, a little girl named Henley, in February of this year.
Cooking, walking, hiking, and traveling are things she enjoys when she is away from work. She feels very fortunate to have lived in England, Belgium and Germany and was able to visit almost every Western European country as well as travel to Africa and Russia.
